Just days after officially being crowned English Premier League Champions for a record breaking 19th time, Nike and Manchester United have officially launched the new Manchester United Home Jersey 2011/2012. While the design of the new home strip was leaked months ago across the Internet, renewed excitement comes today as we get our hands on high resolution images, promo shots and even a video.

While the body of the Manchester United Home Jersey stays the traditional red, the stand out feature of this years rendition is the white crew neck collar with a central black stripe replicating the design of Man United iconic bar scarf. The bar scarf design has been previously featured on the Manchester United jerseys including the 1977 and 1985 FA Cup winners.
Beyond the instantly recognizable bar scarf, the Manchester United Home Jersey 2011/2012 features several other small details celebrating the club. Inside the jersey on the backside of the club crest is the phrase ‘Relentless’, on the back neck of the jersey is a small devil in white and on the inside neck is the words ‘Manchester United’.
Overall, the 2011/2012 Manchester United Home Jersey includes a nice retro feel which makes the jersey easy to wear whether at a match or out hanging with friends. Expected for delivery in late June the Nike Manchester United Home Jersey 2011/2012, Nike Manchester United Long Sleeve Home Jersey 2011/2012 and the Nike Youth Manchester United Home Jersey 2011/2012 are all available now for pre-order at SoccerFanatic.com.
like the sox – shirts is whatever and shorts are shorts. However, if it were truly retro, the shorts would be about 4 inches shorter. thank God it’s not full retro!

I love the competition which is currently building in the team with the arrival of Phil Jones, A.Young and David De Gea, but need someone to replace thre retired Paul Scoles
